Queisser Pharma, manufacturer of well-known health brands such as Doppelherz and Protefix, wanted to electrify its logistics step by step, from its car fleet to heavy-duty operations. The key question: could the daily truck shuttle service between the sites be reliably covered by electric power, without straining the grid?
At the same time, charging should run on green electricity wherever possible, to support the company's wider CO₂ reduction targets. That's where elephi by IO-Dynamics comes in. Partner haulier Abel Transporte runs an electric truck on the daily shuttle route between the Flensburg and Handewitt sites.

It was crucial for us that the electric truck could be reliably integrated into our daily logistics operations. Together with IO-Dynamics, we've built a charging infrastructure and an intelligent charge management system that meets our requirements while making an important contribution to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.
elephi in action
An upfront feasibility and cost-effectiveness analysis laid the groundwork for building DC fast-charging infrastructure at the Heideland site in Handewitt. Result: the existing mobility needs could be fully covered electrically, and the switch made economic sense.
While the EVs charge, elephi prevents load peaks and keeps the grid connection at the site stable, even when the truck and staff vehicles are charging at the same time.
Alongside the truck, elephi intelligently integrates pool and company vehicles into charge management, orchestrating charging for staff vehicles on the existing AC infrastructure.
Charge planning takes the vehicles' planned routes into account. The eActros 400 charges exclusively on site and is reliably ready when needed, every day.
