MONITORING

All collected data from the vehicles and the charging stations can be viewed transparently on the IO-ELON platform.

Characteristic

LOAD MANAGEMENT

The charging columns are controlled taking into account a static load limit. The vehicle is provided with the optimal amount of energy at the required time based on usage and the real-time charge level.

Characteristic

Regardless of the manufacturer, the building connection and all other sub-distributions can be taken into account.

Benefit

Completely automatically, each vehicle can be charged to a predefined value. The house connection can be better utilized without a fuse blowing. The availability of the vehicles is not restricted.

NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications regarding charging status, charging problems or other information are provided automatically.

Characteristic

Users and/or administrators will receive the necessary information by e-mail upon request.

RFID-AUTHENTIFICATION

Users can authenticate themselves using an RFID card to start the charging process.

The RFID card is used to make the charging infrastructure available to authorized persons.

It can be ensured that only authorized persons use the charging infrastructure.

ADD-ONS

DYNAMICS LOAD MANAGEMENT

With dynamic load management, the current power at the grid connection is measured and the available total charging power is adjusted to the power consumption. So if the power consumption in the building drops, more power is available to charge your fleet.

Characteristic

The software takes into account other power consumption at the site during the charging process and regulates the charges accordingly. Consumption information of the vehicles can be added to the load management to additionally charge the vehicles depending on the mobility demand.

INVOICE

Internal billing is automated and extremely simplified using MID meters. Public charging points are billed via an OCPP proxy. This also requires a charging infrastructure that complies with calibration regulations.

Internal users of the charging infrastructure can be billed without any problems using a solution that complies with calibration law. The option of public billing can be assigned to individual charging points. This is variably expandable.

PEAK SHAVING

The load peak of the previous year is taken into account in the vehicle charges and is not increased by electromobility. In combination with the vehicle data, there are no restrictions on availability.

There are no new peaks and no additional electricity costs due to electromobility.

The grid connection does not have to be extended, and high costs can be saved.

BOOKING SYSTEM

Vehicles can be booked for a desired period of time on a per-mile or per-charge basis. This booking can also be made spontaneously or repeatedly.

Characteristic

Repeated appointments can be set for private and management vehicles. Flexible bookings are relevant for pool or sharing vehicles, for example.

Benefit

Booked vehicles are guaranteed to be available whenever they are needed.

FLEXIBLE ELECTRICITY TARIFFS

Flexible electricity tariffs can be passively integrated into the day-night tariff or the 96-step tariff. But they can also be actively incorporated into the vehicle charging cycles. All that is required is a flexible electricity tariff from the energy supplier. IO-ELON charges the vehicles automatically when the electricity price is low.

Characteristic

The vehicles are automatically provided with the required amount of energy when electricity prices are favorable. If vehicle data are integrated and flexible electricity tariffs are actively taken into account, favorable electricity prices can be exploited.

Benefit

Up to 15% of electricity costs can be saved if flexible electricity tariffs are passively taken into account. Up to 30% of electricity costs can be saved if flexible electricity tariffs are actively taken into account.

PLUG & CHARGE

Automatic authentication of the vehicle with the charging station is enabled when vehicle telematics is applied and the charging station is already connected to the IO-ELON system. IO-ELON also supports authentication via RFID.

Characteristic

IO-ELON automatically detects the connected vehicle type and can take into account specific features of the charging process.

Benefit

Manual authentication by means of an RFID card is no longer required. In addition, the installation of an RFID card reader can be dispensed with, which reduces the costs of the charging station.

PV CHARGING

Regardless of the manufacturer, a PV system including the forecast can be added to the charge management system. IO-ELON uses weather data to accurately forecast the amount of solar yield for 24 hours. The charging of the vehicles is held forward with active PV integration to maximize the self-consumption of the PV system.

Characteristic

PV power is provided specifically for the vehicles. The availability of the vehicles is always guaranteed and optionally adjustable in detail.

Benefit

Through the self-consumption of the PV system, the electricity costs for charging the vehicles are reduced, and it is prevented that the PV electricity is fed into the grid with poor compensation. At the same time, the degree of self-sufficiency is increased, and fleet emissions are reduced.

KEY MANAGEMENT

The integrated key management eliminates the need for annoying Excel spreadsheets. The keys of the vehicles are easily managed via the IO-ELON platform.

Characteristic

All keys are always visible at a glance, including the location.

Benefit

Digital management simplifies processes at the key issuing point. Interfaces to existing solutions are possible.

BATTERY-SAVING CHARGING

The vehicle battery is the most valuable component in an electric vehicle and should be used for as long as possible.

Characteristic

Targeted, battery-friendly charging can double or triple the battery's service life. Damage to the battery can also be detected at an early stage with the IO-Dynamics telematics module.

Benefit

The vehicle's range is maintained for as long as possible, which results in lower depreciation of the vehicle. This also has a positive influence on the resale value of leased vehicles.

REDUCED GRID FEES

Under the provisions of § 14a Energiewirtschaftsgesetz (EnWG), connection users in the low-voltage sector can make their charging infrastructure available to the grid operator as a controllable consumption device.

Characteristic

If the grid operator intervenes on the charging infrastructure as a controllable consumption device, IO-ELON reads the control signal via OpenADR and reduces the power of the charging infrastructure. After a control intervention, IO-ELON automatically ensures that the power is increased again and any interrupted charging processes are restarted.

Benefit

Grid-serving charging makes the power supply more intelligent. In return, the grid operator calculates permanently reduced grid fees for enabling grid-serving control.
