Flensburg, January 5, 2024

Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Employment, Technology and Tourism of Schleswig-Holstein, Claus Ruhe Madsen, visited the Flensburg e-mobility company IO-Dynamics to find out about smart charging solutions for electric mobility. The visit was dedicated to the "Mobility turnaround made in SH", with a special focus on digitalization and energy management in electromobility.

"In order for Schleswig-Holstein to become climate-neutral, the mobility transition and therefore e-mobility play a major role. Above all, it is important to further expand the charging infrastructure," said Madsen. He emphasized that the potential of electric mobility can only be fully realized through digitalization.

Johann Olsen, CEO and Co-founder of IO-Dynamics, explained the role of intelligent charging and energy management software for the mobility transition in his presentation about the company: "Electromobility can only be attractive if it is sustainable, reliable, and simple. That is essentially what we are working on".

Current projects from well-known IO-Dynamics customers were also on display, underlining the company's central role in promoting innovative technologies for sustainable mobility. The founders of IO-Dynamics Johann Olsen, Nabil Imran and Felix Kruse gave a technical presentation of the charging management software during a subsequent tour and engaged in an exchange with Minister Madsen about the future of electric mobility and founding in Schleswig-Holstein.

Flensburg, November 17, 2022 - The founders of IO-Dynamics can look forward to new investors. After the first seven-figure financing deal, Christopher Burghardt, former managing director of Chargepoint Europe, Niels Ellwanger and Roman Dudenhausen, CEOs of con|energy ag, as well as energy concept developer Prof. Dr. Mike de Saldanha are now jointly investing in the e-mobility startup.

Founded in 2018 by Johann Olsen, Felix Kruse and Nabil Imran, the Flensburg-based startup IO-Dynamics has developed software for energy and charging management for vehicle fleets and was already able to secure seven-figure funding in June. Now more investors from the energy and mobility industry are joining in.

One of them is impact entrepreneur, investor and consultant Christopher Burghardt, who was Managing Director of Chargepoint Europe for many years. He advises and invests in the fields of technology, mobility and renewable energies. “IO-Dynamics is in the right place at the right time with the right solution. High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Smart Infrastructure Ventures, be10x Capital and other business angels jointly invest in e-mobility startup IO-Dynamics.

Flensburg, June 08, 2022 – The founding team of IO-Dynamics can be pleased about a closed financing round. The newly acquired capital will be used to establish the e-mobility software elephi on the market, an intelligent charging and energy management software for the operation of electric fleets.

In 2018, Johann Olsen, Nabil Imran and Felix Kruse founded their e-mobility startup with the idea of making electric mobility in fleets more economical, sustainable and simple. Over the past few years, they have developed software that optimizes energy and charging management in vehicle fleets. Data from charging stations and electric cars – but also building data, flexible electricity prices and solar forecasts – are taken into account and used to create charging plans.

After a very successful start-up phase in 2021, in which strategic partnerships were concluded with well-known industry companies and the first customers were acquired, the Flensburg-based start-up has now also been able to convince investors. Investing under the leadership of High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Smart Infrastructure Ventures GmbH and be10x Capital GmbH, as well as other business angels.

"We are now at an important point: We have developed a solution that makes the use of electric cars more cost-effective and greener: Our product is manufacturer-independent and flexible. This is a real gain for all those who want to rely on electromobility and need simple and resource-saving charging management. Now we want to grow in the market to inspire even more people with our intelligent charging management, and now we have the chance to do so. A big thank you to my entire team, to our investors and to our newly acquired partners!", explains Johann Olsen, co-founder and CEO of IO-Dynamics.

Frank Reinecke, Principal of High-Tech Gründerfonds: "I invested in IO-Dynamics because the solution addresses an acute market problem and IO-Dynamics has the best solution on the market for it. In addition, the team brings exactly the experience to successfully develop IO-Dynamics and position it in the international market."
